Early Lupus Symptoms and Ideas to Prevent Flare-Ups!

In this article I'm going to share early lupus symptoms, what this disease is and ideas to preventing a flare up.

Your immune system normally is supposed to attack bad guys, but with lupus it gets a little confused and attacks healthy tissues and cells. The symptoms are going to be different depending on where the immune system attacks healthy cells in your body.

Early symptoms are a little difficult to detect because they are similar to many other conditions and having them doesn't guarantee you have lupus.

One of the early signs of this disease is a fever for really no reason. This fever can come and go just like with flare-ups with this disease.

Some people experience a burning pain in the lower chest area, which is acid indigestion at times.

Another early symptom is dryness in the eyes and mouth. Women could experience dryness in their reproductive area. This is because this disease could lead to a malfunction in the glands that are responsible for tears and saliva.

Next up According to John's Hopkins Lupus Center 90% of people with lupus experience some level of fatigue. Also this disease can affect the thyroid negatively leading to a bunch of problems, such as weight gain or weight loss, dry skin, hair problems and moodiness.

There could be inflammation in the joints. This could cause stiffness, pain and swelling. Early signs could be a small amount of this inflammation and as the disease develops it could increase.

There could be kidney problems. This could lead to blood in the urine, your urine could be darker in color. Other symptoms could include urinating a lot at night-time when you are trying to sleep, swelling in the legs or feet and pain where your kidney's are located.

Problems with the lungs and how someone breaths is another symptom. This could lead to chest pains and shortness of breath where it's difficult to breath.

If you are interested in preventing a lupus flare up one idea is not to smoke tobacco products. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine smokers were found to have significantly higher Lupus activity scores.

Another idea is to avoid too much sunlight. A good rule of thumb is to put sunblock on after 20-30 minutes of sun exposure. Next, avoid eating too much garlic.

Garlic boosts the immune system, but with Lupus a person has an overactive immune system and can increase the chance of a flare up.

Lastly, someone can take an omega 3 supplement.
